It's a simple thing.  Chicken broth, rice, egg, lemon....   But when you find a place that does it well, it's worth a good trip to get it.  Avgolemono is a greek soup that has become one of my 'tests' for a greek restaurant.  I do the same thing with Tom Kha Gai at Thai restaurants.  A great Avgolemono in my opinion keeps enough of the lemon flavor to still be tangy.  I can eat the stuff all the time and never get tired of it.
